The CMA India Foundation syllabus is a comprehensive and challenging program that covers all aspects of accounting, finance, and business. Course is divided into 4 Papers:
Paper 1: Fundamentals of Business Laws And Business Communication (FBLC)
Paper 2: Fundamentals of Financial And Cost Accounting (FFCA)
Paper 3: Fundamentals of Business Mathematics And Statistics (FBMS)
Paper 4: Fundamentals of Business Economics And Management (FBEM)

Late Fee for Examination Form submission (Challan Mode): ₹300
The CMA India course follows a structured journey, starting with the Foundation Route for those who have passed Class 12th or a Direct Entry Route for graduates in any discipline other than Arts. After registering for the CMA Foundation Course and clearing it, students can proceed to the CMA Intermediate Course. This course includes additional training such as SAP Finance, Microsoft Education, and E-Filing. Upon clearing the Intermediate Exam, students can register for the CMA Final Course, which includes a mandatory 7-day industry-oriented training program and 15 months of practical training. After passing the Final Exam and completing a minimum of 3 years of work experience, candidates are eligible to apply for membership with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

To appear for the CA Intermdiate Exam, a student must meet one of the following criteria:
Cleared CA Foundation: The candidate should have cleared the CA Foundation.
Commerce Graduates/ Non Commerce Graduates: Candidates who are Commerce graduates have scored 55% and Non Commerce Graduate s have scored 60% are also eligible to register directly for the CA Intermediate Examination.
CMA Intermediate / CS Executive: Candidates who have cleared CS Executive or CMA Intermediate are also eligible to register directly for the CA Intermediate Examination.
The ICAI CA Intermediate fee structure includes two types of fees:
Course Registration Fee: Rs. 18,000 for students who have passed the CA Foundation, and Rs. 18,200 for direct entry. This fee is valid for a period of five years./h3>
Exam Fee: Rs. 2,700 per Group, payable when registering for the examination.
The CA Intermediate Exam is divided into two Groups consisting of 6 Papers:
Mode of Exam: Written Exam conducted offline at ICAI approved centres. Students need to attempt at least one module.
Exam Period: The CA Intermediate Exam is conducted thrice a year. The January exam has a registration deadline of May 1st of previous year. The June exam has a registration deadline of Sept 1st of the previous year, and the September exam has a registration deadline of Jan 1st.
Exam Pattern: 70% Descriptive & 30% Objective
Pass Criteria: Students need to score a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all papers in a module to pass.
The CA Intermdiate Structure is divided into two Group consisting of 6 Papers: Group 1 Paper 1- Advanced Accounting Paper 2 - Corporate Law and Other Laws Paper 3 - Taxation Group 2 Paper 4 - Cost & Management Accounting Paper 5 - Auditing and Ethics Paper 6 - Financial Management & Strategic Management
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India officially prescribes the CMA Final eligibility criteria on its official website.
Candidates should check the following eligibility requirements-
Qualified CMA Intermediate exam.
Valid CMA registration number.
Completed prescribed training of the CMA Final course.
You shouldn't lose your eligibility for the CMA final exam.
Candidates who have passed the CMA Intermediate exam in the June session will not be allowed to sit for the CMA Final December session.
Registration and Tuition Fee: ₹25,000 (includes tuition fee)
Examination Fee:
- ₹1,800 for a single group.
- ₹3,200 for both groups.
Exam Mode: The CMA India Final exam is conducted offline at a designated exam center. The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) does not currently offer the option to take the exam from home.
Exam Period: The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, also known as ICMAI, conducts the CMA exam twice in one year. The two terms of the CMA exam are conducted in December and June sessions.
Exam Pattern: CMA Final exam consists of 7 papers divided into 2 groups.
Pass Criteria: Score at least 40% in each subject paper
Achieve a minimum of 50% aggregate marks across all papers in a group
