A Company Secretary (CS) is a professional in the field of Secretarial, Compliance, and Governance, offered by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). This course equips professionals to ensure that Board procedures are followed, reviewed regularly, and provides guidance on responsibilities under various laws.
Here’s everything you need to know about the CS Course
To appear for the CSEET Exam, a student should have cleared 12th / PUC /Any Equivalent
The ICSI CSEET Course & Exam Registration Fee is Rs. 2,000 and this fee is valid for one attempt
The CSEET Exam Consisting of 4 Papers:
Mode of Exam: Computer Based Exam conducted online from home. Students need to attempt all 4 papers.
Exam Period: The CSEET Exam is conducted four times in a year. The January exam has a registration deadline of Dec 15th of pervious year, The May exam has a registration deadline of Oct 15th, The June exam has a registration deadline of June 15th, and the November exam has a registration deadline of Oct 15th.
Exam Pattern: (100% Objective) (No Negative Marks)
Pass Criteria: Students need to score a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all papers to pass.
The CSEET Structure is consisting of 4 Papers:
Paper 1 - Business Communication
Paper 2 -Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning
Paper 3 - Economic and Business Environment
Paper 4 -Current Affairs & Quantative Aptitude
To appear for the CS Executive Exam, a student must meet one of the following criteria:
Cleared CSEET: The candidate should have cleared the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET).
Graduates/Post Graduates: Candidates who are graduates or postgraduates in any discipline (excluding Fine Arts) are also eligible to register directly for the CS Executive Examination.
The ICSI CS Executive fee structure includes two types of fees:
Course Registration Fee: Rs. 10,100 for students who have passed the CSEET, and Rs. 15,100 for direct entry. This fee is valid for a period of five years.
Exam Fee: Rs. 1,200 per module, payable when registering for the examination.
The CS Executive Exam is divided into two modules consisting of 7 Papers:
Mode of Exam: Written Exam conducted offline at ICSI approved centres. Students need to attempt at least one module.
Exam Period: The CS Executive Exam is conducted twice a year. The June exam has a registration deadline of January 31st, and the December exam has a registration deadline of July 31st.
Exam Pattern: 100% Descriptive
Pass Criteria: Students need to score a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all papers in a module to pass.
